Hotel 88 Shinsaibashi

The staff was exceptional, We also loved the layout of our room which felt spacious for 3 people. The lobby was a surprise highlight with the free drinks area and billiards table. We will book at Hotel 88 again.

We had issues with the safe inside the room because the instructions were not translated to English exactly right. But the front desk quickly helped is resolve the problem.

Staff

The staff was extremely helpful and polite from helping with transportation arrangements to restaurant and entertainment recommendations. It was also conveniently located near the Dotonburi, Shinsaibashi and the Nambo train station. There was free coffee, tea and other beverages in the lobby and the lobby had a nice, comfortable vibe with jazz playing all the time. The room was spacious, comfortable and neat. All in all a great value for what you get.

The bed was pretty firm which could be uncomfortable for some, they didn't have any food, except for a vending machine and the immediate surroundings of the hotel weren't the prettiest.

The location couldn't have been better than this. Less than 5 minutes walk to everywhere. Room was big enough for a family of 4 with a sitting area. Would definitely look for this on our next visit to Osaka. The free coffee was better than Starbucks. Our girls loved it.

Really clean, great location, and friendly staff!

Everything! Location, amenities, room size, cleanliness and the awesome staff! They are one step ahead and even have weighing scales to check your baggage weight before you leave for the airport. Customer service goes way beyond. My son lost his sunglasses and they helped us call the different restaurants and even help us report it to lost and found. Highly recommend this place. Thank you! You set the bar high!

Everything was perfect!

Location was perfect, close enough/walking distance to all the attractions we wanted to visit, but in a quieter area. The rooms were spacious, the laundry facility was a plus. The staff are amazing, helpful and kind!

Amazing stay! The staff when above and beyond. Near a lot of popular places but still in a quieter area. Would definitely stay there again !

The room is spacious for Japan hotels. Staff were friendly and very attentive. The staff really made my stay great.

Staff, facility, location

No breakfast offered, but many restaurants were around the area to eat at. Drinks were offered in the lounge area which was great! 24 hour laundry was a life saver and worked out amazingly. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and were very helpful.

The toilet in our room was very, very small. I was barely able to fit into it. The window opened view was a building wall so that was pretty much unusable, but we didn't plan to stay in the room other than to sleep.

Really nice stuff and facilities. Free drinks, massage place, and microwave.

Location is a bit distance to subway

This a great place to stay with family! The location is awesome and the staff is so friendly and helpful! We love that there is a social area that offers coffee and soft drinks!

The location is fantastic and the stuff even better. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They even gave us a ride to the train station. Perfect place to stay in Osaka.

Beautiful artsy hotel in a great tourist area near eateries, shopping, public transportation. Comfortably small rooms with an area for enjoying take-away meals along with complimentary coffee, tea, iced water, dishes, microwave. Best part was staff who were multi-lingual. A shout-out goes to Travis, an American who was attentive and friendly. I’m sorry we didn’t have the chance to tell him how much we appreciated him.

This hotel is such a hidden gem. The location is excellent, next to the Namba station. The hotel is spotless and the room is spacious. The amenities are excellent too! They have a Dyson hair dryer in the room! The hotel features a lovely lounge in the lobby with complimentary drinks. The staff is very attentive. Overall wonderful!
